In three twitter post the Nigeria Police has expressed its readiness to look into the #ENDSARS issue. Instead of ending SARS, the name for Nigeria Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad, its willing to reform it. Such reform will have great benefit to Nigeria technology ecosystem.
This is so as must of the complains come from the tech community. There complain was based on how police harassed them because they are with laptop, delayed them and collected a huge amount of money.
The Police has said that any member of the public who have any complaint in the past or present regarding the violation of their rights by any SARS officer should be reported, no matter his/her location in Nigeria. The X-Squad who are responsible for investigating such issues will play their part and take further action.
